6 days left in Florence
The most amazing 4 months of my life are coming to a close. In less than a week I have to say goodbye to this beautiful city and the amazing friends I’ve met here. It’s going to be so hard to go. I’ve had so many amazing experiences here. Florence feels like a second home to me. I will always have a connection with this city. I’ve been able to see a lot of Italy plus Prague, Greece, Croatia, and Munich.
However, this isn’t the end of my journey. I have another 2.5 months left of backpacking Europe. I’ll be starting off the experience with my friend Kaisey who I’ve met here in Florence. After a week and a half we’ll separate and I’ll be off exploring on my own. People have asked me if I’m scared to do this by myself. Of course it’s a little nerve-racking, but it feels good. I know it’s going to be a time for self-exploration. I’m excited to do whatever I want, anytime I want, however I want. All of Europe is open to me, I can go anywhere. This is my idea of living.
I currently have Barcelona, Ibiza, and Madrid planned and booked with Kaisey. I’ll be in Madrid for a couple more days after she heads out and then I’m going to Lisbon.
